Established in 2016, the Baltimore Environmental Equity Partnership includes a diverse group of community-centered organizations working in Baltimore neighborhoods. We are connected together by a shared focus on  community development, neighborhood organizing, environmental advocacy, and social justice. The Partnership aims to foster collaboration to improve community and environmental well-being and sustainability in Baltimore neighborhoods.

Blue Water Baltimore

Blue Water Baltimore is a nonprofit organization that works to restore the quality of Baltimore’s rivers, streams and Harbor to foster a healthy environment, a strong economy, and thriving communities. Blue Water Baltimore takes a holistic approach to making safe, clean water a reality in Baltimore.

Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake

Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake works to ignite the power of faith communities in the Chesapeake region to honor all of creation by working together to protect and restore our shared watershed  We believe that we must work through communities of faith to bring about a transformation of awareness and action that reflects respect for the interconnectedness of the web of life.

Baltimore Office of Sustainability

The Baltimore Office of Sustainability is a resource, catalyst, and advocate for a sustainable and resilient Baltimore. The Office integrates the principles of environmental integrity, social equity, and economic prosperity into plans, practices, policies, and partnerships. Their goal is to provide innovative solutions to our City’s challenges while engaging, educating, and motivating residents and local leaders to pursue more ambitious urban sustainability goals.

ReBuild Metro

ReBUILD Metro has pioneered a community-driven model for rebuilding abandoned homes and revitalizing neighborhoods without displacing their legacy residents. By relying on cross-sector partnerships, strategic reinvestments, and long-term community engagement, we have converted over 200 abandoned properties and over 100 vacant lots in East Baltimore into over 400 high-quality affordable homes, including over 65 homeownership opportunities, and maintained greenspace, including a park, two playgrounds, and a community farm.

Audubon: Patterson Park Audubon Center logo

Patterson Park Audubon Center is a leader in growing Baltimore for birds and communities. The Center weaves together a diverse set of community conservation initiatives including leadership programs, hands-on science curricula for schools and camps, resources for supporting birds at home, and greening projects to beautify neighborhoods and feed birds. Audubon collaborates with dozens of school and community partners in Baltimore to achieve its mission of protecting birds and the places they need.

Stillmeadow Community Projects, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 2018 by Stillmeadow Community Fellowship, a church located along the Frederick Avenue Corridor in Southwest Baltimore. Stillmeadow acts as a community anchor, serving its community holistically through providing resources, as well as extending educational and recreational opportunities to residents in the Westgate, Beechfield, Tremont, and surrounding neighborhoods. Initiatives include, but are not limited to: food distributions, workforce development, supplemental education and internet/technology access for youth and adults, environmental stewardship and nature-based education, and weather-related crisis support for local residents.

The Neighborhood Design Center is a nonprofit organization that facilitates the development of healthy, equitable neighborhoods through community-engaged design and planning services. By providing the tools, expertise, and partnerships necessary to realize neighborhood visions, we support broad participation in the evolution of the built environment.

Southeast CDC and BUILD are both founding partners for BEEP and continue to collaborate with our member organizations.


Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development (BUILD) is a broad-based, non-partisan, interfaith, multiracial and nonprofit community power organization rooted in Baltimore’s neighborhoods and congregations. For more than 35 years, Build has worked to improve housing, increase job opportunities, and rebuild schools and neighborhoods, among other issues.

SouthEast Community Development Corporation

Southeast Community Development Corporation promotes healthy, vibrant and diverse communities in Southeast Baltimore through creative community development projects and proven programs. We are dedicated to growing and supporting a thriving, socioeconomically and racially diverse Southeast Baltimore where residents share in the success and improvement of their communities.
